Cultural diffusion is the spread of beliefs and social activities of different cultures, ethnicities, regions, etc. This can be shown a lot in the west, but America is a good example. The country is widely diverse, and for example places like New Orleans show lots of mixing with other cultures (French cuisine, architecture, etc in New Orleans).
