Medical assistant in the
ambulatory care setting assist the provider in all areas with good oral and
written communication skills. They scribe for providers, reconcile medications and
perform test and procedures. In addition,
they are aware of the scope of practice and stays within the legal boundaries
of the medical care. Lastly, medical assistant serve as a primary point of contact for
patients.
