The Mariana trench is the deepest known oceanic floor; at a maximum known depth of 37,070 feet ( +/- 130 feet). It is located in the western pacific ocean , an average of 200 kilometers to the east of the Mariana islands, in the western Pacific East of Philippines. The Trench bottom was home to an array of sea cucumbers, sea anemones, jellyfish, comb jellyfish, and giant amphipods.
