Archetype generalizes a certain behavior. Every character can be matched with a certain archetype. A character could be a hero, like Superman, Batman or Harry Potter. However, it doesn't mean that character could only be benevolent. Since archetype is a generalization of different characteristics attributes, the villain, the giver, the rebel could also be proper examples.
