If the only two options are as given, then I would select (1−x)3+(1−y)4+5 as the expression representing the price of the total discount is applied.

3 + 4 + 5

This is the expression if the bread and cheese coupons are applied, without applying total purchase coupon
(1−x)3+(1−y)4+5

This is the expression if only total purchase coupon is applied
(1−z)(3+4+5)

I think the answer is the one I bold (3+4+5)
