The red c in the lower right corner of a prescription designates that the drug is a schedule 3, 4 or 5. Schedule 3 drugs has the potential for abuse but less so than that of schedule 1 or 2. Schedule 4 drugs are also abused at times but less so and less addicting than schedule 3. Schedule 5 drugs can be addictive, but are far less so than schedule 4.
