Well some pirates killed innocent people but not all here's an example of a pirate who killed innocent people Blackbeard he killed innocent people to rob them others just robed people and left them with nothing but still didn't kill them. Hope this Anwser helps:)
Well, I think they really did not care about the people they just wanted there weapons and everything else they had.
