Depending on the focus setting, if you want a subject in an image to stand out, the background/everything else may be blurry-ish for the subject to ultimately come into one's immediate perspective. True, for that reason. If you're looking for a clear image all around, and the subject matter is perhaps the whole image, then you'd want zero blur. So in that instance, false.
