To make this an equation, we need to know what type of problem it is.

Because is says more than, we know this is an addition problem.

They give us the numbers 13 and 73, but we don't have one of them, that black becomes x.

Lets fill in the numbers:

13 + x = 73

That's the equation.

If you wanted to solve it, subtract 13 from both sides.

That leaves you with the answer: x =60
