Hi! Im not sure but i believe the answer is:
In The Crucible Abigail accused people of being witches with no proof, and the court blindly believed her statements, taking them as facts. Life experiences such as living through the hysteria regarding Communism and being wrongfully accused of Contempt of congress prompted Arthur Miller to write The Crucible.
