 1/6 foot                        0.16666667 ft     
________        =      ________________  =  0.50 ft/hr
1/3 hour                        0.33333333 hr

A unit rate is identified as a rate with 1 in the denominator. Therefor, a garden snail moves 0.50 feet per 1 hour.
