Anglo-Saxon England was headed by a King in the social system which further was divided into six main categories:

1) King
2) Prince (Blood Relative directly from the King and eligible to rule)
3) Nobles
4) Thegns (Roughly can be understood as Knight though the idea developed later)
5) Churls
6) Villeins
