15x - 2 + 5x + 3 = 5...I set it equal to 5 because PR is 5 ft long
20x + 1 = 5
20x = 5 - 1
20x = 4
x = 4/20
x = 1/5

PQ :
15x - 2 =
15(1/5) - 2 =
3 - 2 =
1

QR :
5x + 3 =
5(1/5) + 3 =
1 + 3 =
4

point Q is not the midpoint....because if point Q was the midpoint, the PQ would equal QR....and in this problem, PQ = 1 ft and QR = 4 ft
