According to Jefferson, what, in general, do the colonists object to about the way laws are made and enforced in the colonies?

I would say that Jefferson and most of the people in the 13 colonies were angry about not being able to form their own laws and that the laws all came from Britain and the King and also these laws are enforced by British military might and infringement on the privacy of the citizens by British soldiers sleeping in their houses. Also, the people of the 13 colonies had to pay taxes to Britain even though they had no representation.
