if 4 croissants cost 2.60 and you need to find out how much 7 would be, the first thing you'd do is find the cost of one: which can be done by dividing the 2.60 by 4 to get the price of 1 which is 65 cents. then you just multiply that by 7 to get 4.55 as your answer. Hope this helps!
