To solve this equation, you need to solve for x by putting all the variables in one side of the equal side and the numbers on the opposite side. And to make the equation easier, I changed 1 and 1/3 into a fraction - which would be 4/3.

3/4 + 4/3 = 5/6 - x

And to make the whole problem much easier, I made all fractions have a common denominator.

9/12 + 16/ 12 = 10/12 - x
25/12 = 10/12 - x
-x = 15/12
x = -15/12

And now you simplify them to get -5/4.

Answer: -5/4
