[tex] y= \frac{5}{(x-4)+1} [/tex]
[tex]y= \frac{5}{x-3} [/tex]
So you take the denominator and compare to zero. 
[tex]x-4+1=0[/tex]
[tex]x-3=0[/tex]
[tex]x=3[/tex]
Then the horizontal asymptote is y = 0
