The perimeter of a rectangular field is 310 yards. If the width of the field is 67 yards, what is its length?

P=2L+2W

P=2(L+W)

P/2=L+W

L=(P/2)-W, and we are told P=310yd and W=67yd so

L=(310/2)-67

L=155-67

L=88yd

So the length is 88 yards.
