The primary inspiration of Franklin Roosevelt to try his career in politics was his cousin, Teddy Roosevelt. He saw that the ideals and principles of Teddy Roosevelt would eventually help him to his run for the presidency. Although he also encountered a lot of hardships, he eventually became one of America's greatest presidents.
