Since the coefficient of the first term is not 1, I multiply the first and 3rd term.
2*-3=-6

I have to find two numbers that multiply to 6 and add up to 1. They are -2 and 3.

I put them into the expression and simplify using the grouping method.
2x^2-2x+3x-3
2x(x-1) +3(x-1)
(2x+3)(x-1)

The factored form would be (2x+3)(x-1)

Hope this helps!
