non metals
elements that always gain electrons from other elements(mainly metals) are called non metallic elements. During a reaction all non metallic elements gain or receive electrons and all metals lose or give electrons. The most non metallic elememt is Flourine, meaning that is gains or receive many electrons during a reaction with another metal.
