I am a pine with two needles per bundle and
grow in mountain environments. In Utah, you can
find me in the Uintas and the Bear River Range. I
love high intensity wildfire, like the fires that raged
through Yellowstone National Park in the summer
of 1988. In fact, my serotinous cones only disperse
seeds when heated.
