Answer:

for lines to be Parallel it means they will never touch. Think of train tracks. The two rails will never touch each other. For lines to be perpendicular they have to meet each other to form a corner. think the edge of a desk.

When a line is parallel, it will go on forever without intersecting but when a line is perpendicular, it creates a 90 degree angle.
