The short story “Civil Peace” has been written by Chinua Achebe. The thieves in the story are very bold and arrogant. But when Jonathan's family began to yell, the thieves responded to them by helping them. The thieves threatened them and mocked at them. They mocked them by crying out as the way Jonathan's family was crying out. The story is set in Eastern Niqeria right after the end of the Civil War.
