Well in my opinion the effect of isolation on people would probably make people insane, only if they are often hanging out with people. as there are some cases of isolation from the outside world some people prefer to be alone in isolation. The effects are some good, some bad like the good is better sleeping, or doing whatever you want to do when your alone, the bad effect would be going insane, quicker deaths, depression, or any related matter of deaths.
