Answer: y = x - 4

The point slope formula is used.

y2-y1/x2-x1

When plugging in the points, (2,-2) and (8,4) you get:

[tex]\frac{4--2}{8-2} \\\\\frac{6}{6} \\\\\\\\m=1\\\\The equation of the lines y=x-4[/tex]
