X + 4 = 0

Explanation

The equation of a line parallel to y axis is

x = k where k is constant. …..(1)

It is given that the line parallel to y axis passes through the point (-4,-5).

Therefore (-4,-5) will satisfy equation (1)

Hence , -4 = k

Equation (1) becomes

x = -4

=> x + 4 = 0
