The Lord of the Flies is an awesome book. Here's the answer: The tone was at first positive because they were all finding each other and making new friends. The connotation is positive. The evidence is oh darn I just ripped my cover of the book. Anyway, the evidence is on the first page where it says "Hi!" it said. "Wait a minute!" and all the way down until "I can hardly move..."
