The value of the 15th term will be 172

1st term = 4

Second term = 16

Common difference = 16 - 4 = 12

The nth term of an arithmetic sequence is gotten by using the equation:

a + (n - 1)d

where,

a = first term = 4

n = number of terms = 15

d = common difference = 12

= a + (n - 1)d

= 4 + [(15 - 1) × 12]

= 4 + (14 × 12)

= 4 + 168

= 172

Therefore, the value of the 15th term will be 172
