p + q = 25  - - - (eq 1)

q = r - - - (eq 3)

  • Let's put r for q in eq 1 to get;

p + r = 25 - - -(eq 4)

  • Let's subtract eq 2 from eq 4;

(p + r) - (r + s) = 25 - 25

p + r - r - s = 0

p - s = 0

p = s
