Why did Osama bin Laden declare war on the United States?

He declared war because the American "Infidels" have invaded the Holy Land. He meant that because of the American occupation of Iraq in retaliation of the Iraq invasion of Kuwait and the U.S soldier occupation of the surrounding areas. In which case brought about a great "Western" influence than Islam in some areas. So he believed that he was in a "Holy" war.
