A certain forest covers an area of 4000km^2. Suppose that each year this area decreases by 3.5%. What will the area be after 9 years?

Simply will say
4000(3.5%) = 140 km^2
So each year will decrease by 140km^2
To find till 9th years it will be
4000-(140*9)=2740 km^2
Area after 9 years is 2740 km^2
