1) expand the radical by seperating it according to its factors;

[tex]3\sqrt{27*5}[/tex]

3[tex]\sqrt{9*3*5}[/tex]

SINCE 9 is a PERFECT SQUARE WE CAN TAKE IT OUTSIDE THE RADICAL, BUT WE MUST TAKE THE SQUARE ROOT OF IT BEFORE WE CAN TAKE IT OUT OF THE RADICAL:

sqrt9=3

so

3*3[tex]\sqrt{3*5}[/tex]

9[tex]\sqrt{15}[/tex]
