uh- this is the correct way to answer the problem....

−4x+12=−6x

Step 1: Add 6x to both sides.

−4x+12+6x=−6x+6x

2x+12=0

Step 2: Subtract 12 from both sides.

2x+12−12=0−12

2x=−12

Step 3: Divide both sides by 2.

[tex]\frac{2x}{2}[/tex] = [tex]\frac{-12}{2}[/tex]

x=−6
