Before the Industrial Revolution, the light colored moths had a higher chance of survivability because they were able to blend in with the tree barks. After the Industrial Revolution, the barks became dark. As a result, the dark colored moths had a higher chance of survival since they were able to blend in with the dark barks. This is known as Natural Selection.
