(lol i had the exact same question a few weeks ago) the equation would be 150+225(x+2.50)=2000 (x is $ that can be spent on each kids food) it would be solved like:
150+225(x+2.50)=2000
150+225x+787.5 = 2000 (distributive prop.)
-787.5 -787.5
150+225x = 1212.5 (subtraction)
-150 -150
225x = 1062.2 (subtraction)
/225 /225
x = 4.72 (division)
the school can spend $4.72 on food for each kid
