Honestly just lots of practice. There's tons of videos on youtube that you can watch to help match up notes on basic instruments (i.e. piano) and fun ways to remember the notes.
The best way, in my opinion, is to test yourself regularly and do not try to learn harder stuff until you know the basics. Take often breaks as well.
