first off you can't divide it because you don't divide fractions you have to multiply fractions by doing the reciprocal of the second fraction which means you flip you flip it upside down example 8/1 ÷ 3/4 should actually looks like 8/1 • 4/3 the other thing is it doesn't come out evenly so they can split it because your answer would be 32/3 so your whole equation would look like this 8/4 • 4/3 = 32 /3
