to start solving your equation, the first step is to move the three to the other side of the equals sign. to do this, you must add three to each side. -3+3=0, 5+3=8. now your equation is 8 = z/-4.
the next step is to isolate the variable z. to do this you multiply each side by negative four so that the negative four on the side with the variable z cancels out. z/-4(-4) = z, 8 x -4 = -32. this gives you your answer of z = -32. i've attached an image of my work so you can see! i hope this helps ♥
