2^3 equals 8, therefore the equation can be written as G(h+8) =1
If you expand the equation or distribute:
Gh+G8=1
since we are solving for h, we have to isolate it, subtracting g8 from the left side:
Gh= -G8+1
in order to only have h, we have to divide both sides by G therefore:
h= -8 + 1/g
