1st method:-
[tex] \frac{ - 40}{5} [/tex] can also be written as[tex] - 40 \times \frac{1}{5} [/tex]
We know that anything we multiply ( except 0 ) with a negative number , the product is also a negative number.
2nd method:-
[tex] \frac{ - 40}{5} = - 8[/tex] We can write - 8 as [tex]8 \times ( - 1)[/tex]
