9 ≤ 2x ≤ 12 divide by 2

9/2 ≤ x ≤ 6

(ii) −10 < (4 −3y)/− 5 ≤ 4 multiply all sides by -5

-20 ≤ 4 - 3y < 50 subtract 4

-24 ≤ -3y < 46 divide with -3

-46/3 < y ≤ 8
