The answer is to this item is letter "D. equilateral and right". A triangle cannot be classified as both because the measures of the right triangle follows the Pythagorean theorem which states that, 
                        c² = a² + b²
This means that 1 side which is the hypotenuse always measures greater than any of the legs.
