Since all four sides of a square have the same length, to find the length of the sides you divide 160 by 4.

160 ÷ 4 = 40

So each side is 40 feet long.

To find the area, square the side. So multiply it by itself.

40² = 40 x 40 = 1600

The area is 1600 sq. ft.
