1.5c = 15 ( divide both sides by 1.5 )

c = 10

Substitute c = 10 into either of the 2 equations and solve for r

Substituting c = 10 in (1)

r + 10 = 25 ( subtract 10 from both sides )

r = 15

Thus 15 red vases and 10 clear vases were bought.
