Hi Brainiac

2/5 + p = 4/5 + 3/5 p

Simplify

p + 2/5 = 3/5 p + 4/5

Subtract 3/5p from both sides

p + 2/5 -3/5p = 3/5p + 4/5 -3/5 p

2/5 p + 2/5 =4/5

Subtract 2/5 from both sides

2/5 p +2/5 -2/5 = 4/5 -2/5

2/5 p = 2/5

Divide both sides by 2/5

2/5 p / 2/5 = 2/5 /2/5

p = 1

I hope that's help:)
