slope between (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
s=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

(x,y)
(-2,5)
(-3,-1)
x1=-2
y1=5
x2=-3
y2=-1

slope=(-1-5)/(-3-(-2))=-6/(-3+2)=-6/-1=6

slope=6
