Why are nitrogen-fixing bacteria so important to other organisms?

They are super important because these bacteria allow nitrogen to be transformed from a gas to a solid so the plants can use it then an animal will eat the plant allowing nitrogen in which helps with the function of some of the structures and organs in the body.
