During the war in Vietnam, an American bombing campaign was conducted under the code name Rolling Thunder. American combat airplanes attack targets in North Vietnam, and it was a demonstration of US airborne supremacy during the war from March 1965 to October 1968. The purpose of these attacks was to demoralize the people of North Vietnam and to weaken the ability and efficiency of the government. The Rolling Thunder operation was successful in both intentions.
