          g= acceleration due to gravity

          h is the depth given

density of continental crust is equal to 2.9 g/cm³

    = [tex]\frac{2.9\times 10^{-3}}{10^{-6} } =2.9\times 10^3 kg/m^3[/tex]

g=9.81 m/s²

height = 50,000 m

now,

pressure (P) = ρ g h

pressure (P) =[tex]2.9\times 10^3\times 9.81\times 50000[/tex]

                    =1.422[tex] \times 10^9[/tex] N/m²
